In a 1904 home in Bolzano, Italy, inventive director Celia Solf and her husband, hotelier Moritz Dissertori, have created a kitchen that balances early Twentieth-century character with spare utility. The couple moved from Berlin to South Tyrol in 2023, the couple opened the wall between the kitchen and eating room, then painted the interiors a smooth white. They moved in simply because the renovation wrapped—days earlier than welcoming their child. Authentic terrazzo flooring stay within the kitchen, hallway, and bathtub; over 100-year-old pine planks run underfoot elsewhere for a dose of regional historical past.
After relocating to Italy, Solf was researching for her interiors work and found Very Easy Kitchen, collaborating with them on to create a generously scaled stainless-steel setup tailor-made to the room. The result’s pared again however heat: industrial metal set towards timeworn surfaces, globe lights overhead, and some thoughtfully sourced classic items. It’s a kitchen assembled shortly at a turning level—be part of us for a better look.
