A Retailer Showcasing Conventional and Modern Portuguese Design

“We consider objects can inform extraordinary and revealing tales. A few folks and its explicit style, a couple of society and its context, a couple of historical past which is, in any case, a standard id,” writes Catarina Portas. A Vida Portuguesa, the Lisbon and Puerto emporium she based, showcases “real and touching merchandise of Portuguese creation.” The choices vary from family instruments to textiles, from the very humble to the frilly, and in addition, of late, from the standard to the modern.

The latter is showcased in A Vida Portuguesa’s latest retailer in Lisbon, Depozito, based in partnership with Portugal Guide, a collective of up to date Portuguese artisans and artists. Says Portas, “Depozito is a celebration of custom and its reinvention.” Be a part of us for a go searching.
